How ‘Just-Eat.com’ generated $750 million in sales this year
A few weeks ago I flew to London for a friend’s wedding.
As luck would have it, I got to sit at the dinner table next to Mat Braddy,
the young and dynamic Chief Marketing Officer of www.Just-Eat.com
and we chatted a bit about his business.
Just-Eat.com was founded in Denmark in 2001, by ‘a group of friends
with a serious case of the munchies’, as it states on their website.
Now present in 13 countries, the website lets you type in your postcode
and find out what takeaway restaurants deliver to your door!
You can browse each takeaway menu and order online.
Pretty cool idea, no?
The business model is simple. Just-Eat.com takes a 10% commission
off each sale.
They now have over 25,000 restaurants listed, 6 millions registered
